ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying my copy of The Canning Kitchen but can't find certo powdered pectin in the stores in my area right now. Is there a way to substitute liquid pectin for powdered?
ReplyDeleteHello. Yes, you can but it's not always reliable to switch as liquid and powdered pectins sometimes require different amounts of sugar to create a set. If you want to try substituting, add the liquid pectin at the END and boil hard for 1 minute longer, rather than adding it at the beginning like you do with powdered pectin. Great question!
