August in the kitchen

Somewhere in the middle of filling splash pools, painting faces, and dancing at parties in the park, things have ended up being a little quiet here on the blog lately. I've decided to be mighty okay with that. No more blogger's guilt about not posting enough. No more cooking when I'd rather be at the beach. My oldest boy has just three weeks left before the start of kindergarten. So, I'll cook when I love it and blog when I love it and have something worth sharing. Mostly I'll be smearing sunscreen on little strawberry-stained faces and enjoying what's left of summer. Childhood is calling and the messy kitchen can wait.

  1. good for you! I just found your blog through a friend, and I can more than occupy myself looking through your old posts and checking out all the scrumptious recipes! I'm in a similar boat in that my little one just turned one and I'll be going back to work in a few weeks. Better to spend time enjoying our babies!

  3. Thank you for this! I was starting to feel a bit guilty about the mess inside.
