Would not love to have this KitchenAid food processor in there kitchen. It would be such a time saver to have this food processor. I have a new baby, and my food processor just broke! This would be magical, as even shopping with babe is overwhelming, and budgets won't allow me a new one. Lol.
I'd be making a plethora of baby foods, but my all-time fave would be my departed mother-in-law's recipe for halushkis, which require scads of thinly shaved cabbage browned in butter for hours over homemade potato dumplings. It's a whole day job that goes by in half an hour with a good food processor. :)

I love to cook and I make nutritious, homemade food for my family pretty much every day. Even though I have been cooking for many years, I have never had a real workhorse food processor. For almost thirty years, I have been using the same mini food processor for making pesto or chopping an onion, but unfortunately this little much loved machine is very worn from use and appears to be nearing the end of its natural life. Reading about this KitchenAid food processor and all of the wonderful things that it can do has made me truly excited. If I won this giveaway, I would use it for all sorts of time-saving tasks including much slicing, diciing and grating, but I would also use it to make lots of wonderful dishes that I can't seem to find the time for, such as homemade bread, authentic falafel, the perfect pastry crust, and yes, also I want to try those dreamy scalloped potatoes. My mom lost her mother when she was just 14. So the extent of inheriting culinary skill stops at meals like pork chops smothered with Campbell's mushroom soup and perfectly "nuked"frozen bean and cheese burritos.

As an adult I roomed with my best friend who has an extensive past working in restaurant kitchens. She has every Kitchen Aid gadget imaginable. I used to joke that it was so nice being in a "functional" household. I always watched her prep and cook in absolute awe; every meal was beautiful.

By observation, I've gained significant knowledge of basic cooking rules and styles of cutting. Who knew there were so many ways to cut a carrot! I am inspired and try daily to create dishes that interest my palate.

Without someone to cook for, I'm my only critic but I do my best and have fun proving myself. It's all about the fun experience and lessons along the way!

I can't say that this beautiful Kitchen Aid device will get me skilled enough to audition for Iron Chef; however, it could possibly help the process of preparing fabulous meals for friends and family to enjoy.

The only food processor I've ever owned is a Cuisinart Mini Processor that was abandoned at a house I was renting eight years ago. I have to make my hummous in batches! Oooh, a new food processor!?! Amazing. I would like to win because I am currently using the food processor that I grew up with (and I'm in my late 30's). It's lasted amazingly well, but though the motor is still going strong, the plastic bowl and attachments are definitely showing their age. I've lost the grater attachment already and the crack in the bowl just gets larger with every batch of date brownies I mix up.
PS - love your blog and your recipes. The sausage-kale soup is the biggest hit ever over here. :)
