He's okay along with grain cereal simply because We essentially liquify this along with breasts whole milk, however mashed banana, mashed avocado, as well as apple company blend didn't proceed therefore nicely. It appears as though the moment something offers any kind of consistency into it in any way, he or she instantly spits this away. Question: When you bake the lean ground beef in the oven, is there a lot of oil that comes off of it? Does the oil effect the other veggies? Definitely not worried about the little guy getting getting some of the oil, just wondering if there was so much that you had to strain it?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15102643548957499170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272873112364234651.post-21218543314534337932013-01-23T23:55:32.208-08:002013-01-23T23:55:32.208-08:00We make shepherd's pie for us a lot, I don'...We make shepherd's pie for us a lot, I don't know why I didn't think to puree it for my son. He's 12 months now, with no teeth yet, so he doesn't like the chunkier foods. I really wanted to wait as long as I could before starting him on non-breast milk foods. I started him on cereal when he was about 8 months, then veggies at about 9 months, then fruits at 10 months. He definately loves his veggies more than the fruit, I think most of it is too tart or sweet for him. He's having fun trying new foods, tonight he had chicken noodle soup, just a pureed, un-salted version of what we had for dinner. It's pretty gross when it's all blended together, but he seemed to like it. He is ok with rice cereal because I basically liquify it with breast milk, but mashed banana, mashed avocado, and apple puree did not go so well. It seems like as soon as anything has any texture to it whatsoever, he immediately spits it out. I think she just needs to get used to the consistency since this is her first "chunky" meal. She's also 8 months but has 8 teeth. We're going to try the lentil dish next. My hubby says the baby eats better than us!! Thanks so much and looking forward to more recipes to come.Bluebirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18138594045248305830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272873112364234651.post-87753788188914485052011-09-12T19:06:53.655-07:002011-09-12T19:06:53.655-07:00Mmmm...shepherd's pie. Makes it easier on me at mealtime but then I worry if she's getting enough. She seems to eat more than the 2 year old though! The Tompkins Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13724802755291279168noreply@blogger.com
